Chris Smith

Chris is the Ex-Director of Urban Development for GE, specialising in green hydrogen, integrated energy systems development and the quest for Net Zero. Chris founded Meld Energy to deliver green hydrogen solutions to the UK and international market.

Huw Thomas

Huw is a founder of Meld Energy and has responsibility for steering the direction and growth of the company. By looking broadly at emerging technologies in energy systems, Huw is developing new opportunities beyond the often-narrow focus of industry silos.

Carrie Dru

Carrie brings a wealth of cross-sector experience, spanning consulting, online retail, media, software and law. She has held senior management positions overseeing finance, HR and strategy. Logic and data are at the heart of everything she does, as well as determination to make the world a greener place for future generations.

Technical Director

Adrian Lloyd

Adrian is an Ex-Managing Consultant for URS – specialist in project development of renewables, green hydrogen, feasibility and economic modelling. Alumni of Imperial College. Adrain has developed full feasibility models for green hydrogen projects in international markets.

Richard Clark

A highly experienced Project Director with 24 years of project and development management in a built environment, Richard brings a wealth of experience managing large and complex construction and infrastructure projects of significant value.

Technical Development Manager

Stephen Cunniffe

Stephen has gained significant experience in technical project management in the energy and process sectors through his previous roles and has direct experience delivering green hydrogen projects from feasibility phase through to project execution. Stephen also has experience in product management in engineering and manufacturing environments. Stephen is passionate about the future of clean energy and the role of green hydrogen.

Jennifer Powers

Former special Adviser to Prime Minister on energy, business and regulatory policy, Jennifer has worked in energy since 2000 including for National Grid ESO, energy regulator OFGEM, Energy Saving Trust and Texas Utilities. She brings a wealth of experience across a range of strategy and policy positions across energy, tech, civil liberties and politics.

Jean is passionate about equipping and encouraging individuals, teams, and organisations to create positive impact within their communities society at large. He brings many years experience leading teams across multiple contexts within the public and charity sector.
